- On the computer, open an internet browser (Firefox or Chrome recommended)
- Go to http://www.appinventor.mit.edu and click “Create Apps”
- You may need to log in with your Gmail account if you are not already logged in
- If you have created apps previously, the last app you worked on will open
- Click “Projects” and then click “Start New Project”
- Name the new project “Bluetooth_App”
Circulate the room to ensure all students are able to create a new app. Assist students as needed.
- Can’t save my app with the name I want
- The app name cannot contain any spaces. Use an underscore ( _ ) to create a space or use the name “BluetoothApp” with no spaces.
- The app name should be unique and cannot be a name that has previously been used by your Gmail account. Use a different name or add a number at the end.
- The app name should start with a letter, it cannot start with a number.
